1887 KALAMAZOO BATS N690

Produced by Chas. Gross & Co. of Philadelphia in 1887, the N690’s are in carte de Vista (CDV) size and contain the player’s name, position and team on the lower part of image. The cards also contain an advertisement in the bottom margin stating "Smoke Kalamazoo Bats."

It is believed that these scarce cards were packaged inside boxes of Kalamazoo Bats cigar boxes. These boxes are incredibly difficult to locate. Since 1995, I have only been able to document the existence of four boxes, only one of which being sold at public auction.

Approximate value of an empty box would be $1500.00+.
